Our Story.

AACknowledge Speech Solutions was established in response to the concerns voiced by many parents, teachers, and speech therapists who have noticed a gap in services and education tailored specifically for young people with complex communication needs, using Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) or Speech Generating Devices (SGDs).

We recognize the various challenges faced by families with non-verbal children. We also

 understand that the process of acquiring a Speech Generating Device can be so time consuming and complex, it can cause families to lose momentum once they have obtained the device.

​

It is common for parents to be overwhelmed by the "What now?" in the implementation of AAC/SGD into their daily lives.

​

AACknowledge seeks to address some of the challenges so that parents can spend:

​

• Less time engaged in lengthy evaluation and Approval processes, awaiting access to AAC devices

• More time learning how to use the AAC device and helping their children’s language grow to develop their “own voice”.

We firmly believe in a more efficient and supportive approach to serve AAC device users and their families.
